Zanzenberg Farm

Zanzenberg Farm's mission is to cultivate community enrichment through local food production and education. Located in Center Point, Texas, Zanzenberg is the only farm in the region specializing in craft pork and raising heritage pigs on pasture.
Grant funds fulfilled its mission of educating the community by completing an on-farm, commercial class kitchen with teaching and demonstration space. The facility offers a rare chance for people in the community to learn and understand whole animal utilization and how to source meat responsibly.
Hands-on classes teach humane animal husbandry and butchery, craft pork, charcuterie, and whole animal utilization. The regenerative farm also offers an apprenticeship for high school students. During the program, they learn the tools necessary for operating a business as it relates to food and farming, training that is otherwise unavailable in their rural landscape. This youth engagement intends to make a genuine difference in the community, the future of our food system, and regenerative farming.
