Trosi Farms is a sustainable, organic-practice farm breeding wild crops to bring to a commercial market. Built from the perspective of forager William Nikkel, the goal is to generate a net-positive impact on the ecosystem by cultivating symbiotic relationships with food, restaurants, and the land.
Grant funds will allow Nikkel to build a germination shed for earlier and more stable plant start production. These native and heirloom plant starts and seeds would be offered in two yearly plant sales, generating capital and expanding access to plants crucial to the local ecosystem.
