After 20 years of military service, farm manager Tessa Snodgrass wanted to help her fellow veterans by creating a local veterans outreach program on the family farm. The exceptional veterans' program provides a safe and healthy environment for stress management for many wounded veterans dealing with PTSD and other stresses to enjoy and experience farm life.
Grant funds completed an onsite meat processing facility, which supports stress-free, free-range meat production. The facility also enhances full-circle food recycling/food waste programs with local restaurants.
