Grassroots, woman-founded organization Partners for Education, Agriculture, and Sustainability (PEAS) operates under the knowledge that teachers have a lot on their plate. By providing engaging garden and kitchen lessons during the school day in an equitable and culturally responsive manner, the first-of-its-kind nonprofit encourages educators in integrating outdoor and edible education while teaching hands-on lessons to students.
Grant funding will be used to purchase equipment and ingredients needed to bring further culinary education to Langford Elementary students.
