Farmers' market favorite Mercado Sin Nombre leverages long-lasting relationships with bi-national producers in Texas to provide Austinites with Mexican heirloom corn and coffee. Creating a new café in East Austin, the family-owned roaster is Austin's first to focus on Mexican-grown coffee beans and continues the proud cultural history of Tejanos in its Holly neighborhood by focusing on quality products, community engagement, and a focus on teaching.
Grant funds will help the business increase production by purchasing a commercial stand mixer and corn grinding machine to create its signature masa, mole, and other ingredients.
