$5,000 Austin Dames Supporting Women in Business Grant
A respected member of Central Texas' craft beer scene, woman-owned Independence Brewing Company led by Amy Cartwright, is branching out to create a new nonalcoholic beverage, Dayglow. The hemp-based beverage, made with traditional brewing techniques and all-natural ingredients, will provide alternatives for social occasions while encouraging the compassionate use of cannabis. A portion of the proceeds will be shared with veterans' groups promoting access to care.
Grant funds will help the company invest in its website and online ordering platform.
