The Good Kind Series
The Truffle Masters Grant for Community Heroes: $2,000
Owned by San Antonio Chef and entrepreneur Tim “The Girl” McDiarmid, the Good Kind Series is a program of nonprofit and community outreach events hosted at its namesake eatery. Utilizing the grounds of the beautifully landscaped Southtown property, the series provides a safe and inclusive space for all San Antonians.
With grant funding, the Good Kind aims to install a live-growth wall and garden with edible flowers, vegetables, and herbs for use in on-site food preparation. The installation will also provide educational opportunities through species maps and scent charts. Photogenic as well as functional, the project will bring recognition to the San Antonio culinary and nonprofit communities through a social media strategy and a targeted hashtag campaign.
