Austin-based nonprofit The Good Apple provides free home delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables to Austin residents facing food insecurity. Its innovative model removes transportation and other accessibility barriers, allowing neighbors in need to easily obtain the fresh produce needed to create healthy meals and encourages clients to learn about new ingredients, experiment in the kitchen, and incorporate healthier ingredients into their favorite recipes.
The Good Apple is seeking additional community support in growing the households it serves.
