FunkyTown Food Project
$2,500 LifeWorks Restaurant Group Entrepreneur Grant, $1,500 Truffle Masters Grant for Community Heroes, and $1,000 Dallas Food & Wine Alliance Grant: $5,000
Fort Worth-based FunkyTown Food Project uses sustainable farming to build the next generation of youth leaders. With values rooted in a shared sense of community, the project cultivates leadership skills in high school youth through food and farming while fighting community food insecurity.
Grant funds will support the 2023 summer "seed crew" class for 24 participants, covering binders and program materials and assisting with intern stipend pay for the six-week program.
