A popular eatery in Sugar Land, F.D.'s Express Burgers and Wings is partnering with the Booker T. Washington Empowerment Center to launch a culinary training institute. The Soul Food Culinary Institute will focus on the essential American foodway while providing low-cost vocational and skills training to residents of historically disadvantaged communities.
Funding will supplement the cost of training for those lacking the resources required for participation.
