Favor Delivery Grant for Local Restaurants –$5,000
Community Vegan co-owners Marlon Rison and Ericka Dotson feed the community through their food truck in East Austin. The eatery commits to increasing food access to communities of color and neighbors experiencing homelessness by providing vegan comfort fare. Amplifying its mission of providing healthy fare without sacrificing taste, Community Vegan plans to expand its menu to include Central Texas' favorite obsession — barbecue.
Grant funds will help purchase a smoker trailer, furthering the truck's vision of becoming the first plant-based barbecue establishment in the greater Austin area specializing in smoked mushrooms.
