The 2ND St. District Grant for Sustainability: $5,000
Casero is an Austin-based food company specializing in ready-to-entertain charcuterie and cheese boards delivered directly to customer’s doors. Founder Jackie Letelier handcrafts all pâtés, mustards, and pickles for the boards in partnership with area farmers, ranchers, and makers focusing on sustainability and whole animal usage. This grant will help Casero expand pâté operations in a USDA-inspected facility and establish the company as the first woman-owned charcuterie wholesaler in Texas.
