Café Momentum
Dallas Bourbon Club Grant: $8,500
Working with more than 20 Dallas-area job partners, Café Momentum prepares justice-involved youth for restaurant industry careers. Guided by chef Chad Houser, the innovative model rotates paid interns through all aspects of the farm-to-table restaurant, focusing on life and social skills, coaching, and development.
Grant funds will support all aspects of the program, including culinary skills training, intern wages, educational support through the Café Momentum Academy on-site high school, mental health counseling, and additional wraparound services.
