Founded by Chefs Chris Huffman and Jana Muñiz-Huffman, Barking Dog Farm connects children and lifelong learners to food origins on a soil-focused educational farm.
To educate the community about regenerative farming, climate change mitigation, and equitable foodways, Barking Dog will use the AFWA grant to convert their current workshop into a multipurpose learning space. The area will also be used to streamline washing and preparation operations, allowing the business to increase the availability of locally grown produce in the Central Texas community.
